Brevard's Bestest News: Dana Delaney Loyd CONVICTED of making false allegations on her "alternative news" blog

I guess we can call her Dana BALONEY Loyd after a jury convicted her of making a false claim of receiving reports of CSA. No doubt, at least part of the false claim was likely to increase exposure for her alternative news site "Brevard's Best News," but now her news site has turned into a site defending her actions. She even made her own GoFundMe page to beg for help after getting arrested. Maybe "Safe Kids International"should reconsider their support of this convicted criminal. (She was sentenced to a year in jail but no registry.)

Website editor found guilty of falsely reporting child abuse in Brevard County
by: Mark Boxley Updated: Apr 2, 2017 - 4:51 PM

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. - A Brevard County website editor is facing up to five years in prison after being found guilty of falsely accusing a man of sexually abusing his elementary school-aged daughter.

According to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Dana Loyd, 44, reported the abuse while claiming to be a substitute teacher at Quest Elementary School named Theresa Smith.

She called the Florida Department of Children and Families Hotline on April 29, 2015 and told authorities that the girl had confided in her about the abuse.

Staff at Quest Elementary School, though, told investigators that there had not been a substitute teacher by that name the day the caller said the girl had told her about the abuse, the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies were able to match the phone number used to call the hotline to Loyd, who was also found to be “chief editor” of the website brevardsbestnews.com.

The site, which was still active Sunday, posted two articles titled “Please Help Fight for Justice!!!” and “Blood in the Streets?”  Both named the girl’s father.

The second article also identified the girl by name, the sheriff’s office said.

“Additionally, it was learned that Loyd was allegedly contacting the father’s employment and other organizations where he was volunteering, advising he was a child molester,” the BCSO said in a Facebook post. “The investigation determined that the allegations of the reported abuse were unsubstantiated.”

Loyd admitted she had called the DCF hotline and the father’s employer and others as “harassment,” investigators said.

A jury found Loyd guilty of filing a false report of child abuse on Thursday.

She will be sentenced at a later date, the sheriff’s office said.

“I am extremely proud of everyone involved in the investigation and subsequent prosecution, as the investigation, arrest and conviction sends a very strong message to anyone who falsely reports crime in our community,” Sheriff Wayne Ivey wrote in the BCSO Facebook post.

Guess what Shelley Garland is also an Alex Jones type "Performance artist"

The Huffington Post South Africa has outed the author of the hoax “Shelley Garland” blog post – calling for the disenfranchisement and dispossession of white men across the world - as Marius Roodt, a researcher with the Centre for Development and Enterprise (CDE). On Wednesday afternoon a group made up of Pieter du Toit, Deputy Editor, Ferial Haffajee, Editor-at-large, and Pontsho Mabena, Video Editor, confronted Roodt at the CDE’s offices in Johannesburg after they had “digitally traced” the email address he had used to contact their publication back to him, and confirmed his identity with “facial recognition technology.”

Alex Jones is being sued by Chobani Yogurt over false rape allegations Infowars made.

Chobani filed the lawsuit Monday in Idaho District Court in Twin Falls, where the company operates its largest yogurt plant in the world. It’s seeking $10,000 in damages.

Among the false statements Chobani’s lawsuit alleges are “accusations that Chobani was ‘caught importing migrant rapists’ and that Chobani’s plant has brought ‘crime and tuberculosis’ to the Twin Falls community.”

Regarding such claims, “Alex Jones is no stranger to spurious statements,” the lawsuit said. “He has claimed that the U.S. government orchestrated the 9/11 attacks and the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut.” It added: “Mr. Jones has now taken aim at Chobani and the Twin Falls community.”

New Scandal for Creep Catchers canada (Umm Absolute Deplorables united!!)

A 29-year-old GTA man who gained attention as a vigilante pedophile hunter is denying accusations of identity theft and the use of photos of minors without their permission. Justin Payne, a construction worker by day in Burlington, spends his evenings luring child predators by posing as kids on dating apps. Eventually, he confronts these predators in person and holds them accountable for their actions, catching the whole thing on videotape.

He’s become a bit of a celebrity online. Under the name The Payneful Truth on YouTube, Payne’s videos have amassed over 60,000 subscribers and several million views. The comments below videos range from, “You’re a hero” and “Good job, man,” to accusations that he’s a fraud and shouldn’t be doing amateur police work.

But now, another kind of allegation has surfaced. On April 4, a Toronto teen told CTV she was shocked and frightened to discover that Payne has been using a photo of her to lure predators. She claims she never gave him permission.

“That’s her, 100 per cent,” Lisa Gaudet, the 17-year-old’s aunt, confirmed to CTV. “My biggest fear is for her safety. He needs to stop.”

However, Payne denies the allegations, telling Vice, “What is being said is lies and rumours. I’ve had consent for the pictures I use. Same pictures for the past few years.”

He told Vice that the teenage girl’s mom is his ex-girlfriend.

Tianna Gerrior, a woman in Oakville who who says she dated Payne from 2015 to 2016, told NOW that she’s concerned he’s been using photos of her children, too. Gerrior has a teenage daughter and five-year-old son.

“There have been five pictures confirmed of children that he knows,” she says. “Me and a few other women he’s dated are trying to identify the rest.”

Gerrior says she met Payne online and initially thought of him as a hero. But after some months passed, she realized he had cheated on her and ended the relationship. She began connecting to his other ex-girlfriends and discovered that Payne had maintained at least 17 relationships over 10 months.

“He would ask people for money. He would say he couldn’t pay his phone bill and a woman would send him $100, or his car broke down and someone would send him $200,” she explains. “It’s like catfishing. He literally plucked these women out of his fan base and manipulated them.”

She says if it wasn’t about cash or helping him pay bills, it was giving Payne a place to stay, an ego boost, or in some cases, access to children.

“My daughter was 13 and he recorded her voice to use in his chats, saying things like, ‘Hi I’m at Tim Hortons’ because he wasn’t able to mimic a young girl’s voice. He didn’t have my consent,” she alleges.

Payne says he doesn't want to comment any further on the accusations, stating through Facebook that he’s hiring a lawyer given the situation.

According to Gerrior, who hasn’t had contact with Payne since January 2016, there are more women – and their children – waiting to come forward. She wants people who might be fans of his vigilante work to know he has another side to him.

“He’s hurting people in every form,” she says. “He’s a complete fraud.”

Umm this allegation is at play here. Now the Police in Maine is sending unconfirmed info to FTVLive over this allegation.

After Johnston's body was found, his station and others in town did brief reports and then nothing else was said.

Johnston’s significant other reported him missing, but would not say anything more. The station would also not make any comment when Johnston went missing.

Well now, FTVLive has learned that Oxford County Sheriff's Department said they were investigating a sexual assault and the suspect was later reported missing. In that time frame, only one missing person report came in.... Tom Johnston.

Police say that the victim reported the rape and that the suspect fled the scene. Police then confirm that the suspect was reported as a missing person.

The news that Johnston might have been a suspect in the assault is well known inside his former newsroom and other newsrooms in town. So far, they have not reported the information.

Autopsy results should be available soon on Johnston's death. Word is that Sheriffs Deputies did do a rape kit on the assault victim and DNA evidence was taken.

At this point, police are not confirming anything, other than to say, they are investigating the rape and that the suspect was also later reported as a missing person. Again, Johnston was the only missing person in that time frame.

FTVLive will have more on this story as the information becomes available.
