Palm Beach County FL Clerk of Court championed death penalty for child sex crimes. Now he can face the death penalty if convicted of the thing he voted to kill

Win stupid games, win stupid prizes. Or do people just say FAFO now?

Either way, I don't pity this guy because he voted for the death penalty for the very thing he now stands accused of doing.

Florida Republican could face death penalty under child abuse law he championed

Travis Gettys

A Florida Republican from Donald Trump's home district could potentially face the death penalty under a law he had championed as a state legislator.

Mike Caruso, the Palm Beach County clerk of courts and a staunch ally of Gov. Ron DeSantis, was arrested Tuesday morning on child sexual abuse charges, and a plugged-in reporter in the state pointed out a morbid irony in the case.

"As a FL legislator, Mike Caruso supported death penalty for pedophiles in 2023," said Axios reporter Marc Caputo. "Now he has been arrested for allegedly molesting his grandson. The state plans to present the case to a grand jury and that could lead to his own execution if he’s charged and convicted under that law."

Florida passed a law in 2023 that allows the death penalty for defendants convicted of sexual battery on a child under 12, and sources with knowledge of the allegations told the Miami Herald that Caputo's alleged victim was younger than 5 years old.

Caruso, who had been running unopposed in Tuesday's Republican primary, was arrested that same morning on suspicion of molestation, kidnapping, luring and enticing a child, lewd and lascivious exhibition and child abuse, according to an arrest affidavit.

The charges are related to three separate incidents, the Herald reported, and the boy's parents reported their suspicions to law enforcement after the little boy acted out sexually at home.

The Florida law calling for the death penalty for pedophiles is intended in part to challenge the 2008 Supreme Court precedent in Kennedy v. Louisiana, which found that execution was too harsh for a child sexual assault case that did not result in death.

The governor's office declared an intention to challenge that precedent after DeSantis signed the bill into law.

Caruso was previously accused of child sexual abuse, but investigators later determined those allegations to be unfounded after interviewing the child and the child's mother.

He was also the subject of other reports to the Florida Department of Children and Families, according to records, but details about those cases are not public.

Caruso had served two terms in the Florida legislature, easily winning both elections, but he left that term-limited seat in August 2025 when the governor appointed him Palm Beach County’s Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller.

A Democrat ultimately won the seat he vacated in the Palm Beach district, which includes the president's home at Mar-a-Lago, in a March special election.

Republican Who Backed Death Penalty for Pedophiles Faces Child Sex Charges

Aug 18, 2026 at 07:00 PM EDT; updated, Aug 18, 2026 at 08:55 PM EDT, By Alex Backus

Palm Beach County Clerk of Court Michael Caruso, a former Republican state legislator who previously backed the death penalty for adults convicted of sexually battering children under 12, was arrested Tuesday on five felony child sex abuse charges.

The 67-year-old married father of seven who was appointed by Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis faces five felony counts: kidnapping, child molestation, lewd exhibition, luring or enticing a child and child abuse causing mental injury, an arrest affidavit shows.

Investigators in Florida say Caruso violated a child—who is a relative—and allege the abuse occurred multiple times from fall 2024 to August 2025, including on a family cruise, a fishing outing and during a Thanksgiving gathering. The child has been receiving therapeutic services since April 2026, according to the police affidavit.

“Being in a position of public trust provides no shield from accountability,” state Attorney General James Uthmeier said. "This individual will face the full force of the law.”

DeSantis, who named Caruso to serve as court clerk and comptroller in August 2025, immediately suspended him from office Tuesday upon learning of the allegations.

“It was a very easy decision for me to yank him from that position," DeSantis said during a Tuesday news conference.

When asked whether he or anyone in his administration was aware of the allegations against Caruso before his appointment, he answered "of course not.”

“He had a clean vet, he was well-regarded in the community,” DeSantis said, calling the alleged crimes “horrific.”

Florida is the first state to reintroduce the death penalty for convicted pedophiles, DeSantis said, and if Caruso is convicted, "he is going to be in a world of hurt.”

What Bill Did Caruso Support?

While representing District 87 in the Florida House, Caruso backed what is now known as the 2023 Florida Capital Sexual Battery law. The legislation allows prosecutors to seek the death penalty for adults convicted of sexually battering a child under the age of 12. Caruso is listed as a “Yea” in the April 13, 2023, House vote. DeSantis signed the bill in May 2023 and it took effect six months later.

The Republican is up for reelection in November but is not appearing on Tuesday’s primary ballot, as he is running uncontested. The Florida GOP called on Caruso to immediately drop out of the race.

“While this is surprising news for our entire team, it does not change who we are at the Clerk’s Office or our commitment to the community and customers we serve,” the Palm Beach County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller’s Office said in an email to Newsweek.

Following the arrest, Shannon Ramsey-Chessman was sworn in as clerk ad interim. As of Tuesday afternoon, Caruso’s official page on the clerk's office website was unavailable.

Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters is scummier than the DC Reflecting Pool water

It's not east being green. Just ask Sheriff TK Waters. Now, I know what you're thinking, but trust me, he's pondscum. He's trying to be Shady Grady with extra shade.

JSO announces 29 arrests in child predator investigation dubbed ‘Operation Checkmate’

Sheriff T.K. Waters said there are three men with outstanding warrants and more arrests to be made.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Sheriff T.K. Waters announced Thursday that the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office arrested 29 people in a multi‑agency child predator investigation called ‘Operation Checkmate.’

Waters said the undercover five‑day operation began April 27 and ended May 2. Detectives posed as children online to identify adults who solicited sex, then arrested those who arranged to meet purported minors at prearranged locations, he said.

Waters said the men arrested so far range in age from 22 to 72 and face felony charges including sexually motivated offenses and unlawful use of electronic devices. Waters said detectives expect additional arrests as they follow up on leads developed during the operation...

“I think you should put them all in prison forever. That’s just my opinion. Oh, we get rid of them completely because my experience tells me that they can’t be cured. And if you get one, you interview them. If they’re honest with you, they’ll tell you they can’t be cured. They’re probably in the safest place that they can be,” he said.

Paula Martinelli thinks a Registered Person should be "removed from society"

Paula Martinelli was married to a man for more than 18 years and is now seeking a divorce from him. She turned him in for having illicit photos, but it is her statement, backed by loudmouth victim advocates making dubious claims, that leads to her appearance on this blog.

“I’m the person who found the screen,” Martinelli said. “I’m the one who reported him, and I have been fully supportive of him being removed from society.”

Pepin Le' Pew: Shady ex-Poway CA councilman Brian Pepin abanons his city to harass a Registrant in FloriDUH

It seems everywhere Brian Pepin goes, he leave controversy in his wake, including after leaving his job as Poway CA city councilman to move across the continent into the festering cesspool of south FloriDUH, leading to controversy over his replacement.

As noted in this social media post:

"Pepin became Senior VP of 1892 LLC in Dec 2021. He also has a local political consulting business. That explains Pepin‘s ability to bring in around $100,000 for his campaign to run for D1 council seat, which also began back in 2021. It probably also explains Pepin's adeptness at “dirty tricks” like the hacking of Hiram Soto’s account and changing his profile picture to that of a terrorist, and then using the fake profile pic in campaign flyers."

"Dirty tricks and misinformation are not new for Brian Pepin. In 2020, he signed an FPPC stipulation and was fined $2500 for failing to disclose who paid for a campaign hit piece in 2018. A fine like that might be disheartening to a community activist who doesn’t have the big bucks supplied by special interests, but to Brian Pepin, it is just a slap on the hand, and did not stop him or the Lincoln Club from doing more of the same."

A corrupt politician moving to the most corrupt state in the US? That's par for the course. Pepin Le' Pew is already stinking up his new community by harassing a neighbor.

Brian Pepin, a father of three and former member of the Poway City Council in California, publicly called for stricter sex offender residency restrictions during Tuesday’s St. Johns County Board of Commissioners meeting.

Now a political consultant, Pepin recently moved to St. Augustine with his family and said that a registered sex offender moved directly across the street from their home.

He shared the emotional impact this has had on his family during the public comment period.

“Last week we learned that the guy that moved in across the street was arrested a few years ago for having child porn,” Pepin said. “He’s got a Ring doorbell trained on my house. I’ve got these three young kids.”

Pepin noted that his wife has been deeply affected, saying she has been “crying herself to sleep at night.”

He also expressed frustration with current laws, stating, “There’s nothing that we’ve been able to figure out how to address this.”

He praised deputies from the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office for responding to their concerns but acknowledged that within current legal boundaries, little could be done.

Pepin highlighted differences in sex offender residency restrictions across counties in Florida. In St. Johns County, offenders must live at least 1,000 feet from playgrounds and schools, whereas Duval and Miami-Dade counties have a 2,500-foot requirement.

“That won’t help us but it might be something to look at,” he said...

Brownshirt Putnam Co FL Sheriff Homer "Gator" DeLoach practices his gestapo tactics by forcing dozens of Registered Persons out of their homes

Homer "Gator" DeLoach is not a stranger to the Shiitake Awards. He "won" (possibly stole) an election by 13 votes while running on a campaign on making lives miserable for Registered Persons in his community. Now he is practicing his Geatapo tactics on them by forcing them out of one of the few places they can legally live. I suspect he'll be called upon when tRump calls upon the mass extermination programs that are likely to come.

Putnam County Sheriff’s Office: ‘Cesspool of sex offenders’ cleared out of local trailer park

February 28, 2025 at 9:38 p.m. UTC

By ActionNewsJax.com News Staff

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — A “cesspool of sex offenders” was cleared out of a Palatka trailer park on Friday afternoon, according to Putnam County Sheriff Gator DeLoach.

On a Facebook Live, DeLoach said more than 22 convicted predators and sex offenders living in the area were cleared out.

The trailer park, located at 3600 Balsam Street, was turned into what DeLoach referred to as a “predator’s paradise.”

23 registered offenders and predators have this location listed as their address, according to Florida’s Sexual Offenders and Predators Search.

According to the sheriff, the trailer park is located in an area where there are often children. There is a volunteer fire department with a youth program and bus stop close by.

“We heard your cries. We heard your screams on social media,” DeLoach said in the Live.

DeLoach said the sheriff’s office believes the trailer park was acquired in December by an “unscrupulous person” who lives outside Putnam County jurisdiction.

There were 14 homes. However, all but three have now been condemned, according to the sheriff.

The sheriff’s office is taking a “holistic approach” to shutting down the park.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office has enlisted the help of the PCSO Criminal Investigation Bureau, patrol deputies, sex offender compliance specialists, probation and parole officers, Putnam County Code Enforcement, and the Putnam County Health Department, according to DeLoach.

DeLoach said they will continue to “aggressively” pursue condemning the final three trailers.

The sheriff said no one is allowed inside the homes unless they are doing licensed work.

“Not in Putnam County and over my dead body are we ever going to let Putnam County become a sanctuary for these kinds of individuals,” DeLoach said.

Gaturd DeCockroach is mad because I told his bitch ass the truth by stating his policies lead to clustering and that he and his Gestapo deputies are Nazis. Cry harder, Gaturd!

Floridiot woman Christina Pushaw relies on parody/troll website to attack an anti-registry activist

PSHAW (/(p)SHô/) (exclamation): an expression of contempt or impatience.

I can't believe it, folks, I found a bleached blonde idiot that makes FloriDUH State Senator Lauren Book look like a Rhodes scholar. Christina P'SHAW, a 2022 Shiitake Award nominee, is back.  P'Shaw is no stranger to controversy, including referring to opponents of DeSantis's controversial "Don't Say Gay" bill as "p*dophiles", which led to her nomination in 2022. But something else happened to P'Shaw that year.

P'Shaw got duped by a fake story about a "homophobic dog" on the Internet. As noted by the UK Independent:

"Christina Pushaw, the press secretary, tweeted the alleged screenshot of a Washington Post article on Tuesday featuring a white dachshund and the headline: “This dog is the new face of homophobia.”

“More cutting edge journalism from the 49 year old Washington Post activist,” Ms Pushaw wrote above the screenshot.

While the photoshopped image included a byline forThe Post’s technology reporter Taylor Lorenz, it was quickly debunked by senior politics reporter Aaron Blake.

“This is not a Washington Post or TaylorLorenz story,” he said. “It’s a headline cut and pasted on to our template from another website.”

The creator of the fake story, “Chuck”, also waded in further and tweeted: “No f***ing way... It has come to my attention that Ron DeSantis’ press secretary has stolen my edit out of an inability to differentiate between satire and reality, please share your collection of dog memes under her post...

Ms Pushaw, who did not appear to apologise for spreading a fake story on International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, tweeted back at Mr Blake and said: “Have you tried crying about it? That might help”.

She has reportedly previously taken aim at The Post’s Ms Lorenz, who told the Daily Dot on Tuesday: “I would have assumed a press secretary could recognise the difference between a fake screenshot from a meme page and a real news story, but apparently not.”"

Not only did Pushaw not apologize, she doubled down.

Such was the case when Pushaw decided to send her mob of morons to attack anti-registry activist Derek Logue for criticizing the rhetoric folks like Pushaw have spread in recent years. It all started when an account that sounds like an amalgamation of the terms Stasi and Nazi posted an attack on Logue for stating that right wing nuts like Pushaw are too obsessed with the use of the terms "groomer" and "p*dophile":

She wasted no time in promoting a site that is so dubious, even the person who shared the site called it a HATE site:

Pushaw wasted no time in promoting the hate site to her rabid fanbase (which is smaller than you might think). I do think it is hilarious she believed this website was actually made by Logue's Nebraska neighbors. So, Pushaw is one of those idiots who believes EVERYTHING she reads on the Internet, be it a story about a homophobic dog or a website created by a personal stalker.

She said many other disgusting things, like boasting about Deathsantis's soon-to-be-defeated death penalty bill and making other personal attacks, but promoting an obvious parody site makes P'Shaw worthy of at least a Shiitake Awards nominee.

FloriDUH Republican Rep Anna Paulina Luna(-tic) wants to pass a federal death penalty statute for crimes not involving murder

The Luna-Tic isn't just a gun nut, she's plain nuts
Typical Floridiot!

There is something that has been lost in the MAGAt push to challenge the 2008 Kennedy fv Louisiana ruling, and reinstate the death penalty for offenses not involving murder.

Here are the words of Antonin Scalia, far from being a liberal justice, wrote the statement that struck down an immediate appeal following a showing there had been a military statute in place punishing certain non-murder offenses with death"

"I am voting against the petition for rehearing because the views of the American people on the death penalty for child rape were, to tell the truth, irrelevant to the majority’s decision in this case. The majority opinion, after an unpersuasive attempt to show that a consensus against the penalty existed, in the end came down to this: “[T]he Constitution contemplates that in the end our own judgment will be brought to bear on the question of the acceptability of the death penalty under the Eighth Amendment.” Ante, at ___ (slip op., at 24). Of course the Constitution contemplates no such thing; the proposed Eighth Amendment would have been laughed to scorn if it had read “no criminal penalty shall be imposed which the Supreme Court deems unacceptable.” But that is what the majority opinion said, and there is no reason to believe that absence of a national consensus would provoke second thoughts."

In other words, these idiots pushing for the death penalty are challenging a ruling even the conservative wing said no to doing when they had the chance.

Besides, if this Luna-tic were to succeed in passing this terrible legislation, then her hero Trump should be first to be executed to prove she is serious about this and not just trying to get cheap publicity.

Convicted pedophiles could face much darker future with GOP-backed bill: 'Can't rehabilitate a predator'

Rep. Luna will also introduce a bill increasing penalties against rapists

By Emma Colton Fox News

Published April 9, 2024 1:25pm EDT

Florida Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna is slated to introduce a bill this week that would raise the federal minimum for sexual abusers of children to the death penalty or life in prison, the congresswoman told Fox News Digital in an exclusive interview.

"One of my big platforms has been: how do you combat child trafficking, just with everything happening in our country? And it seems like there's been this obviously massive issue here in the states with consumption of whether it's child pornography and/or just attacks really on kids. And in honor of sexual assault prevention month, we actually want to introduce legislation," Luna told Fox News Digital in a phone interview this week.

Called the "No Repeat Child Sex Offenders Act," the bill would amend a U.S. code that states anyone who "knowingly transports any individual in interstate or foreign commerce" to engage in prostitution or sexual activity "shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 10 years, or both."

The bill would strike the language that an offender be "imprisoned not more than 10 years, or both," and replace it with stronger penalties: "and punished by death or imprisoned for life."

"It's absurd to me, not only as a new mom, but also if you just look at some of the federal statutes, that there's not more strict punishments for people that are doing this," Luna said.

The Florida congresswoman added that she, similar to others across the nation, believe child predators cannot be rehabilitated, and would reoffend when back on the streets.

"I have the firm belief, which I think many of my colleagues also hold, that you can't rehabilitate a predator. And so we have to increase the federal minimums. And as you see, it's pretty simple text. It's maybe a page and a half, but it will increase the federal minimums to death penalty or life in prison," Luna said.

Luna’s bills come as some states and cities, such as in California or New York, have seen an increase in prostitution in broad daylight on bustling streets. Experts have previously told Fox News Digital that the immigration crisis and lax laws have likely caused the spike in brazen prostitution, which also often includes human trafficking and the trafficking of children. Luna said her bill raising the penalties against child sexual assault includes so-called "Johns" who hire underage girls.

"Anyone who is even going to consider exploiting someone like this – and you can't tell me that they don't know that these people are trafficked or that they don't know that that's a young child – but the fact is, is that, if you're knowingly doing this, you have to be held accountable," she said.

"It's pretty black and white," she said.

Luna compared rape to murder, saying the assault of a child destroys the victim's life, as well as the lives of family members. She’s hopeful Democrats will join her in passing the bill, calling it a nonpartisan effort, though some Democrats might not agree with the legislation due to opposition to the death penalty.

"I think that this does speak to a deeper issue, in that, whether it's issues of rape or molestation that, you know, it destroys people's lives, and it's something that they carry with them for the rest of the time that they're adults. And so it can impact people, and we should be thinking of this very seriously," she said.

Luna will introduce the bills Thursday in the House.

"I think that if you're really about protecting children… you have to have strict laws. And that's exactly why we've introduced it."

Autumn Barber-Seaborn of Panama City FL should do what she does best and stay at home

Just who the hell is Autumn Barber-Seaborn? according to her own Facebook profile, she just a "Christian" disabled (presumed mentallly) stay-at-home mom. So she sits on her butt all day watching "true crime" trash TV and now thinks she's an expert on Persons Forced to Register. If I had to guess, she's probably a QTard as well.

What the news report mentioning that cow does not mention is that she implies on her FB page that the person she is trying to get fired was somehow involved in the child's disappearance.

She's apparently not disabled enough to stay-at-home so maybe she should be at her local Jenny Craig instead of doing shitty TikTok videos in another state.

https://1819news.com/news/item/case-of-missing-child-sparks-concerns-over-sex-offender-fire-chief-in-barbour-county

An online petition calling for the removal of a volunteer fire chief who is a convicted sex offender is gaining traction after the search for a missing child sparked debate in Barbour County...

The online petition at Change.org questions whether he should be in charge of a volunteer fire department.

"This man runs into fires to save people, I get that, but he is also a known pedophile," the petition states. "Should he be allowed to be a firefighter chief? Should he be able to have functions at his address with children parties with children? Should this be OK?"...

Someone with the Texasville Volunteer Fire Department told 1819 News they did not want to be identified but said the department was one of many on the scene searching for the child and that the chief was not the decision-maker that night. They also said everything was done professionally to bring the child home.

The mother of the child, who desperately posted online for help during the days of the search, said she was thankful that her son, who has autism, was brought home safely. She believes it was a freak accident and that he accidentally got out of the camper and wandered off, unable to find his way back home.

The Organization for Autism Research reports that wandering off or "elopement" is not uncommon in children with autism. Those with cognitive challenges have higher instances of wandering off than their peers.

While many celebrate the child's safe return, some concerned community members want the volunteer fire chief in nearby Texasville to leave his post. Seaborn said she attended a firefighter association meeting but was not allowed to speak because it was an officer election meeting, not a regular meeting.

"This is personal," Seaborn told 1819 News. "Personally, something has to be done because it has become a pandemic in our society now that people like this are allowed to have these sorts of roles. That is unacceptable."

Here, Barber-Seabor is implying her target was somehow involved in the child's disappearance. That is slander and she could be sued.

Nassau Co FL Sheriff Bill Leeper is the lead clown at the Fail Festival

Bill Leeper the Nassau Creeper is no stranger to the Shiitake Awards. Bill Leeper the Nassau Creeper already won a Keystone Kop of the Year in 2022 and almost won one back in 2015.

Operation Fail Festival nets unregistered sex offenders in Nassau County

By Julia Roberts on Tuesday, January 2, 2024

Nassau County Sheriff Bill Leeper announced Operation Fail Festival, which resulted in the arrest of several people in the county for their failure to register, or re-register, as a sexual offender.

“Several of these sick individuals … failed to comply with sexual offender requirements. Many of them were required to update their addresses and re-register, but failed to do so,” Leeper said. “Failure of a sexual offender or predator to register as required by law is a felony. Eight of the nine individuals were arrested.”

Leeper said federal and state laws require sexual offenders or predators to register in all jurisdictions in which they live, work or go to school. Sexual offenders or predators must complete a registration form at their county sheriff’s office either twice a year or four times a year, depending on their offense. The registration is required for the duration of their life. All qualifying sexual offenders and predators and juvenile sexual offenders will be listed on the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s public registry website.

...

“It is important that we keep track of these individuals for the safety of our community. Whenever a child goes missing, the first thing we do is check the homes of any nearby predators,” Leeper said. “Most importantly, we want to know where these individuals live so we can keep our children safe.”

The sheriff went on to advise parents to keep tabs on their children’s contacts, both online and in person.

“I also want to remind parents to monitor what their child is doing on the internet, social media sites and especially who they may be talking to,” Leeper said. “There are evil people in this world who would like to do bad things to young children, so please do everything you can to keep these monsters away from yours.”

Need an private investigator with hilariously bad takes? Better call Bill Warner of Sarasota FloriDUH

The Shiitake Awards Nominees Blog is back and I have some catching up to do.

On Saturday, September 30, 2023, Charlotte Sena went missing from a New York State park. At some point in the search for the missing person, WNYT 13 reported that, “Investigators are now interviewing sex offenders in three counties.”  Internet “sleuths” also joined in the fray, with a private investigator named Bill Warner took to Reddit (the subreddit "r/CharlotteSena") to push the theory that a person listed on the sex offense registry was responsible, without any evidence to the contrary. Guess which state he's from? Hint, the last syllable is -DUH.

On the Reddit post entitled, “18 Violent Sex Offenders Live Just 6 Miles from Moreau Lake State Park where Charlotte Sena went missing”, Warner posted, “Some of these sex offender goons living near Moreau State Park where Charlotte Sena was abducted are 'Risk level: 3 - High Risk of Re-offense' this NY State classification is equal to a Predator classification for sex offenders in Florida, bad news guys who did hard time in prison, worst of the worst!”  Warner then proceeded to stir up an Internet mob:

After posting the names and the registry information of Registrants living within a few miles of the park on his (poorly designed) Google blog, Warner added, “THIS A BAD BUNCH OF DUDES LIVING RIGHT NEXT TO THE STATE PARK, YOU JUST KNOW THEY ARE OVER THERE TO THE PARK EVERY DAY THAT THEY CAN.”  On Warner’s personal blog, he posts the names, personal information, and photos of Registrants in the area and includes statements like “Sex offenders never cured (sic).”

Charlotte Sena was found alive after police raided the home of a suspect. Despite early reports from the news media that the suspected kidnapper had a “sexual abuse criminal history,”  the suspect was NOT on the sex offense registry and the media had to update their reporting.  The Times-Union later reported that while the suspect had been questioned about a familial offense,  he was never charged with a sex offense. The suspect had what was described as a “minor criminal history,” including a DWI, assault-related offense and harassment.

Some people seemed disappointed that a person on the registry. On Bill Warner’s aforementioned blog post, Warner noted, “Nine year old Charlotte Sena has been found safe but violent sex offenders are out there and your children are at risk.”

I don't usually post folks that don't make headlines on this blog. But in this case, I felt an exception was necessary. He's small potatoes with the IQ of one, but he occassionally gets airtime for his awful takes. And trying to rip off Better Call Saul is just lame.

Ryan Bullard the Crestview Dullard openly admits intent of ordinance is to harass & intimidate Persons Forced to Register

You can always count on a FlorIDIOT to say the dumbest things out loud.

In a 9/17/2023 Crestview FL city council meeting, moronic city councilman Ryan DULLARD, who was "moved" by the "passion" of his fellow idiotic councilperson in the same manner a hemorrhoidal turd plops into a toilet bowl, openly boasts the intent of the ordinance was to intimidate and harass those on the registry. Of course, this is a city in the dumbest state in the union, so this is not surprising. What IS surprising is this stupid son of a bitch is a  PSYCHO THE RAPIST. I guess he's trying to force a lot of Registrants into therapy. What a POS!

Ryan Bullard: "And while we can't boot those 88 men (registrants) out. nor do we we want to, well, we DO, but ok, but what it will do is prevent any more from ,living documented in the city. So what we're going to do is we're going to criminalize them from living in the city, which is a GREAT thing to do. Ok, basically the entire city. And if thy're undocumented, in the woods, then that's failure to register, that's more county stuff, things like that.... I mean, If I can prevent just one sex offender from moving into the city, or we can dwindle those numbers, and have the chief's people go after them, i'm pretty much for it."

Fuck you, Ryan Dullard.

Ron DeathSantis has ensured the death of the Republican party by declaring he is putting "pedophiles" to death

So, some folks have suggested that Ron DeathSantis was grooming high school girls. When does he get shipped to death row?

And what is with the generic-looking backdrop? Is he hosting this at a Klan rally in a barn? Who are the cheering idiots? Is Ron DeathSantis aware that most politicians that get busted for sex crimes are Republicans?

Ron DeathSantis is free-falling in the polls, so desperate to save his presidential bid as it is already derailed before it leaves the station, he tries the tried-and-true fear and hate campaigns the Republicans rely on when they have no real plan for real problems.

Ron DeSantis Proposes Death To All Pedophiles

Has Florida been overrun with crime since 2018?

Gov. Ron DeSantis signed three bills today that he claims will strengthen law and order in the Sunshine State.

“What we’ve done in Florida is rejected the ‘soft on crime policies.’ The legislature passed a bill that I signed that prevents the local government from defunding the police,” DeSantis said. “We will not allow that to happen. We will make sure the police are on the street.”

Is DeSantis now admitting he let crime and pedophiles run rampant in Florida all this time? He has been governor since 2018, after all.

Looking like he is speaking at a Neo-Nazi rally, DeSantis dug in.

"We are stopping jail break in the state of Florida today," DeSantis said. "We're putting pedophiles to death, hopefully with this today."

Wait, has there been a mass prison escapes we don't know about?

Hopefully? Death penalties. Pedos. Sounds like it's Marge country.

It's very odd to see a governor erase his own state from the backdrop he's using while he's giving a press conference about his state.

Dolce de Bleche is back -- Michael Dolce, 2017 Shiitake Nominee and Victim Advocate, is arrested for a sex offense

In 2017, Michael Dolce was nominated for a Shiitake Award for writing a nasty Op-Ed claiming restorative justice encourages those on the registry to reoffend. He was also FL State Senator Lauren Book's attorney and is prominently featured on Lauren's Kids!

Dolce stated in that article, "As a victim of childhood sexual abuse myself and an attorney who now represents sexual assault survivors every day, I can say without doubt that restorative justice is not only horribly insufficient for handling sexual abuse but, in many cases, actually serves to leave an offender free to offend again...

According to prominent forensic psychology researchers Drs. Daryl Kroner and Adelle Forth, about half of convicted sex offenders exhibit psychopathology, meaning they are incapable of feeling remorse or empathizing with their victims. Sex offenders are often skilled at manipulating others into believing they are safe, which helps them gain their victims’ trust before attacking...

The reality is that I believe the majority of sex offenders are largely incapable of empathy. Two-thirds of male sex offenders will re-offend if they are not treated and restrained as criminals. The consensus among mental health and criminal justice professionals is that most sex criminals cannot be reformed; they can only be monitored, controlled and contained."

And now Michael Dolce sits accused of amassing a large collection of CP. So apparently, he was projecting his own isssues onto others and describing himself in that 2017 OpEd.

Sex-Crime Victims' Advocate, Attorney Accused of Amassing Lewd Child Photos

On the evening of March 15, FBI agents smashed open the door to the home of Michael Dolce, a West Palm Beach lawyer who had advocated for and represented sexual abuse survivors for the past 20 years. Armed with three warrants, the agents did not have to search long to find what they were looking for.

"They discovered Dolce actively downloading child pornography using peer-2-peer software," the Department of Justice alleges.

A longtime Sunday school teacher who was once one of the state's most prominent advocates for reforming sexual abuse statutes, Dolce is behind bars awaiting his arraignment, scheduled for mid-April. He's facing a child porn possession charge that carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

Dolce's onetime coworkers at Cohen Milstein in Palm Beach County are beside themselves trying to square how one of the firm's ace litigators in sexual abuse cases could wind up charged with a sexual offense. Dolce, who said he was a survivor of child molestation, built a reputation for handling high-stakes lawsuits and taking an uncompromising stance not only on sexual offenders but on those who enable them.

A partner at the firm, Dolce had been working at Cohen Milstein since 2015. He was fired two days after the raid on his home.

“The firm is stunned and saddened by these appalling allegations. Michael Dolce was terminated and is no longer affiliated with the firm. We are focused on attending to the needs of our clients and staff, and continuing to cooperate fully with the investigation," Cohen Milstein said in a statement.

At a March 30 hearing, Dolce agreed to submit to pretrial detention while reserving his right to later challenge it. His attorney did not respond to a request for comment from New Times.

"Commitment of a Survivor"

Dolce's early advocacy dated back to his work lobbying for HB 525, a bill passed in 2010 to remove the statute of limitations for criminal and civil cases arising from the sexual abuse of victims under the age of 16.

Between 2004 and 2010, Dolce repeatedly testified before Florida legislators in support of the measure, noting that abuse survivors are often too scared or ashamed to come forward right away. He said he was molested by a neighbor as a seven-year-old boy and that by the time he mustered the courage to speak out about it years later, he could not pursue a claim because the statute of limitations had passed.

His push for legislative reform faced opposition from the Catholic church and criminal defense lawyers' associations, among others, who argued that litigating decades-old molestation claims would be unfair.

"The law was protecting the predators. They were encouraged under the law to silence their victims, to threaten them," he said in an interview in the aftermath of the bill's passage. "It was an amazing day [when the bill passed]. I wept with joy. I was overwhelmed by relief."

Dolce received his law degree in 1994 from Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida, according to his professional profile.

He claimed in a 2009 interview that he had been teaching Sunday school for 14 years. He also alluded to a nearly five-year stint working in the state legislature, saying it helped familiarize him with the lobbying and bill-writing process.

According to his professional profile, he formed Dolce & Paruas in 2012 and worked there until 2015, when he jumped to Cohen Milstein, a large firm with a half-dozen offices spread across the country and more than 100 lawyers in its stable. By the time he joined the firm, he had already garnered a reputation for pursuing high-stakes litigation involving sex abuse claims.

During his tenure at Cohen Milstein, he reportedly secured large settlements for his clients including a $4.6 million deal in 2019 on behalf of an adult plaintiff, who alleged that his father had sexually abused him throughout his childhood.

Dolce worked out of an office in Palm Beach Gardens, in a stretch of property sandwiched between Singer Island and a beach-side golf course community near Juno Beach.

His professional profile said he "brings to his work the insight and commitment of a survivor, having himself been the victim of sexual abuse as a young boy at the hands of a sadistic predator."

“We fight a fight that can often lead to a disappointing end, but we still have to fight it because what happened to our clients cannot be allowed to continue,” Dolce said in a 2020 trade magazine interview.

The Bust

Dolce, 53, was alone in his West Palm Beach home when the FBI came knocking.

Agents had surveillance teams in place to monitor him prior to the raid.

"Entry into the residence occurred as a result of a forceful breach on the door when Dolce did not respond to commands by law enforcement to come to the door. Tactical surveillance and entry teams revealed that Dolce was alone in the residence, awake on a bed at the time FBI personnel first knocked," the FBI says.

On Dolce's Samsung laptop, folders were open containing multiple illicit images, the FBI says. One subfolder was titled "Sweet Pedo Stars" and contained images of a prepubescent girl between the age of 9 and 11, according to the affidavit.

As of March 24, the FBI says, agents had located at least 1,997 child porn images on the computer.

Court records show Dolce litigated no less than 15 civil cases in Florida in the last 7 years, most of which were related to claims of sexual abuse.

One of the last pieces of litigation he filed involved a client who alleged that she was coerced into a threesome while drunk and tripping on magic mushrooms at a house party in Miami. Two weeks ago, opposing counsel noticed Dolce's disappearance from the case but did not learn the reason for it until Dolce's arrest came to light March 29.

Florida Man tries to run over a man he erroneously thought was on the sex offense registry

At least we have some idea who might be giving meth to the 'gators. Franklin is a career criminal who was already a convicted felon when he was busted for guns, meth, and cocaine. And he was released on a mere $10k bond for what should've been attempted murder. Who bonded this joker out? Lauren Book? VoidSec (aka Harsh Med's "harsh med" supplier?

Century Man Tries To Run Over Man He Thought Was Convicted Sex Offender, ECSO Says
February 22, 2023

A Century man is charged after allegedly trying to run over a man he thought was a convicted sex offender as he walked out of a liquor store.

Kinte Hassan Franklin, 45, was charged with felony aggravated battery using a deadly weapon.

The victim told the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office that Franklin was the driver of a maroon car with the window partially down outside the Fusion Liquor store next door to the Food Giant on North Century Boulevard.

The driver, Franklin, told him “I’m going to kill you because you are a convicted child molester,” according to an ECSO arrest report. He then turned the car around and struck the victim in the legs, the report continues. The victim’s wife was with him at the time. She told deputies that another occupant of the vehicle told Franklin, “You just need to run over this [expletive] you just need to kill him”.

According to the ECSO, surveillance video showed Franklin circle the parking lot multiple times and pull up to the victim and say something. The video then shows Franklin pull into a parking spot if front of the store, back out, and then pull forward, striking the victim with the vehicle multiple times.

Franklin was released from the Escambia County Jail on a $10,000 bond.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice National Sex Offender Registry, the victim is not a convicted sex offender.

Republican FloriDUH Governor Ron DeSantis wants to murder Registered Persons

What people fail to realize is that the Nazi party in the 1930s passed similar sex offense laws to that of the US since the 1990s. people seem to forget that the Jewish people were not the only persecuted group rounded up and carted off to concentration camps. FloriDUH is going down a dangerous path.

https://www.tampabay.com/news/florida-politics/2023/01/26/desantis-proposes-death-penalty-certain-sex-crimes-increased-punishment-fentanyl/

MIAMI — Gov. Ron DeSantis unveiled a tough-on-crime agenda ahead of the upcoming legislative session, including proposals to expand the death penalty to certain types of sex crimes and mandating life sentences for people convicted of selling fentanyl that looks like candy to children.

“We want to make sure that we cement our reputation as being a law-and-order state and take actions as necessary to help further protect the people of the state of Florida,” he said during a news conference Thursday at the Miami Police Benevolent Association hall. Police officers from several Miami-Dade cities, including Hialeah and Coral Gables, were in the audience.

The governor, reiterating comments he made earlier this week, said a supermajority vote by a jury should be sufficient to impose the death penalty. That would make Florida the second state to allow nonunanimous jury votes for the death penalty, in addition to Alabama.

DeSantis expanded that proposal, saying child sexual abuse — specifically rape — should also be punishable by death, with a minimum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.

“These people don’t care. They are unrepentant,” DeSantis said. “… I believe the only appropriate punishment that would be commensurate to that would be capital.”

The room responded with applause.

The U.S. Supreme Court in 2008 ruled that the death penalty can only be applicable in the instance of murder.

DeSantis said the state will pursue child sexual abuse cases that seek the death penalty and could potentially reach the Supreme Court.

“We do not believe the Supreme Court, in its current iteration, would uphold it,” he said of the 2008 ruling, “and so we are going to be exploring ways to facilitate some capital trials if you have the worst of the worst.”...

Ocala FL News outlet posts Registrant shelter info in their "Pets" section

The only reason I'm not posting this under "worst news media" is  there’s no real way to tell if it was the Ocala News or the Marion County Sheriff’s Office Division of Emergency Management that made the announcement this way since news outlets often just copy-paste gov’t alerts verbatim.

https://floridaactioncommittee.org/ocala-news-com-includes-registrant-emergency-plans-in-their-pets-section/

Ocala-news.com includes Registrant emergency plans in their pets section

Sep 29, 2022 | 1 comment

A big F-You to Ocala-news.com who reported on Marion County’s Emergency Management Plans for the Hurricane!

The news outlet organized their report into subheadings labeled “Special Needs Shelter”, “General Population Shelter” and “Pet friendly shelter”. Guess which section they included instructions for registrants? If you guessed under pets, you would be right! Soooo dehumanizing.

Oh, and there’s another big F-You owed to Marion County, because guess what? Registrants don’t even get a shelter! The pets get a shelter, but registrants don’t. If we have nowhere else to go (“Any sex offenders or sex predators who need shelter are encouraged to first seek shelter with family or friends in a non-residency restricted area.” – Seriously?!?!? During a hurricane when schools and parks are closed you are still going to enforce your stupid residency restriction?!?!?)? It’s the police station.  “If that is not an option, then they must report to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender / Predator Unit office for shelter. According to MCSO, they should bring hygiene items, snack food, medicine, bedding, or anything else that is needed.”

These are some sick, sadistic people!

You can't spell WRONG without R-O-N: Ron DeSantis misled RCs into believing they can vote, then arrested them

Ron DeSantis, seen here trying to make sense of
his own bullshit laws.
The short version of this story is the Ron DeSantis administration and elections officials misled a few Registered Persons into believing the right to vote was fully restored to them, so they voted. WRONG DeSantis  then had Registered Persons arrested so he can claim there was voter fraud in the election, but this idiot was the cause of the confusion in the first place. And considering the Republican track record as of late, I think this was done on purpose by this wannabe dictator.

Ron DeSantis’ First Voter Fraud Bust Is Quickly Imploding

The governor’s own administration greenlighted the defendants’ voter registration applications. Now it has arrested them for voting.

BY MARK JOSEPH STERN

AUG 29, 2022, 3:49 PM

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis made a spectacle out of the round of arrests made by his election police force earlier this month, jailing 20 people on charges of voter fraud and promising more prosecutions to come. At least one target was dragged to jail in his underwear by a SWAT team at 6 a.m. But it turns out that the individuals ensnared in DeSantis’ dragnet had no idea that they could not lawfully vote. The governor’s own appointees flubbed their legal duty to stop them from registering. And because of their sloppy errors, all 20 defendants may well be acquitted of crimes they did not intend to commit.

DeSantis’ misadventure traces back to Amendment 4, the ballot initiative that was supposed to restore voting rights to most people who had completed sentences for felony convictions. (Those convicted of murder and sex offenses were excluded.) Floridians overwhelmingly approved the constitutional amendment in 2018. Yet DeSantis and his fellow Republicans promptly sabotaged the amendment by enacting an unnavigable, incomprehensible system for individuals who wished to regain their right to vote. The state refused to establish a coherent process for people convicted of felonies to learn they are eligible to cast a ballot. Many Floridians with disqualifying convictions, including the defendants arrested this month, are therefore unaware that amendment 4 does not apply to them.

After Donald Trump pushed the lie of mass voter fraud in 2020, Florida Republicans created an investigative unit to uncover “election crimes.” It was obvious that this office would continue the work that GOP lawmakers began in the wake of Amendment 4: persecuting Floridians who made the honest mistake of voting despite a disqualifying conviction. That, of course, is exactly what happened. It appears that most if not all of the 20 men and women arrested by DeSantis’ election police did not realize they were not allowed to vote due to disqualifying convictions. They believed, in good faith, that they could exercise their civil rights.

But they did not reach this conclusion on their own. As Politico’s Matt Dixon has reported, these defendants were told by Florida officials that they were legally permitted to vote. And because they believed these officials, they now face up to five years in prison for the crime of voter fraud.

In affidavits and media interviews, defendants share the same tragic story: They filled out a voter registration card; their county election office approved it, telling them they could vote; they cast a ballot in 2020; and now they are charged with a felony offense. Because local election officials approved each registration, DeSantis’ spokespeople have sought to blame them for failing to uncover the disqualifying convictions. This accusation conveniently overlooks a crucial fact: Florida law tasks the state government with flagging felony convictions that bar a resident from registering to vote. It wasn’t local officials who dropped the ball. It was the DeSantis administration. (Update, 5:45 p.m.: The head of the election police, a DeSantis appointee, explicitly told local election supervisors that they were not at fault, contradicting the governor’s claims.)

Because the defendants trusted election officials, they now face up to five years in prison for voter fraud.

Here’s how the process works. When the county supervisor of elections receives a registration application, they forward it to the state. The Division of Elections, part of the Department of State, then determines whether the applicant is “potentially ineligible based on a felony conviction without civil rights restored.” If the agency finds evidence of ineligibility, it informs the county supervisor, who then tells the applicant why his registration was denied. If the applicant confirms the allegation, he’s removed from the voter registration system. If the applicant denies the allegations, he can demand a hearing to prove that he is eligible.

This process is mandated in a Florida statute. As Dixon pointed out, it is also enshrined in a 2009 rule issued by the Florida Department of State. In case that were not enough, the director of elections testified under oath in 2020 that the state bears responsibility for checking applicants’ felon status. As the Guardian’s Sam Levine noted on Saturday, her testimony affirmed that applicants are checked against a law enforcement database within 24 hours. (Local election officials do not even have access to that data.) Three sitting county election supervisors have told Dixon that this process is, indeed, the current system for screening potential felony convictions.

It’s easy to see why DeSantis is eager to direct culpability away from state governments. The governor appoints the head of both the Division of Elections and the Department of State. His own administration greenlighted the defendants’ voter registration applications, and now it has arrested them for voting. That doesn’t look like election security. It looks like entrapment.

But even if DeSantis were correct, shifting responsibility to county supervisors would not absolve his appointees. Three people charged with voter fraud registered with the Broward County supervisor of elections—which, according to the governor, should have uncovered their disqualifying convictions and denied their applications. Who served as Broward County supervisor of elections when these individuals registered? Peter Antonacci, whom DeSantis appointed to lead the election police. The man in charge of prosecuting voter fraud previously facilitated fraud among the very individuals he’s now prosecuting.

In response to these revelations, DeSantis’ spokespeople have primarily directed a flood of hate and harassment toward Dixon for his invaluable (and, to the governor, embarrassing) reporting. But they cannot conceal the state’s errors for long. The first round of defendants are charged with voting while ineligible, a third-degree felony in Florida. This law applies to any voter who casts a ballot “knowing he or she is not a qualified elector.” In other words, prosecutors must prove (to a jury, beyond a reasonable doubt) that the defendants knew their votes were illegal. Clearly, they had no such knowledge. Election officials told them they could vote, and provided them with all the tools to do so. DeSantis likely hoped they would agree to a plea deal, but voting rights lawyers have already stepped in to ensure that they will fight the charges in court.

Perhaps the governor won’t mind when the criminal case against these voters falls apart. His intention, after all, was to create a chilling effect on others’ rights, frightening eligible residents out of trying to vote. He has put a target on the back of every Floridian who was supposed to regain full citizenship under Amendment 4. Plenty of formerly incarcerated people might look upon this episode as proof that it is not worth attempting to rejoin the electorate. Even if every defendant is ultimately acquitted, DeSantis’ quest to prove that he can undermine democracy just as viciously as Trump remains intact.

Santa Rosa Co FL Sheriff Bob Johnson promotes the worst kind of fearmongering after entrapment operation

“If you have kids out there, under the age of 18, this should scare you to death,” Johnson said. It only goes downhill from here in the interview about his entrapment sting.

https://www.wkrg.com/northwest-florida/santa-rosa-county/12-arrests-in-florida-child-sex-investigation/

“You should monitor what websites they go to and stay on them,” Johnson said. “They don’t have privacy in your home, they belong to you and if you don’t keep track of what they’re doing, this is what’s coming for them. Scumbags like this. This is all they do. They are looking for little girls and little boys to have sex with and they will travel to do it. You can incarcerate them forever, they can die, or you can cut off a certain appendage. That’s the only way it’s going to get fixed. These guys are predators, and they are coming for your children.”

Kristine Zonka of the Brevard Co FL Commission proves ill intent of law by expressing hatred of Registered Persons

The Brevard County Commission in FloriDUH have made their intentions clear with promoting a local ordinance. It is a law based upon pure hatred.

But since we are in the subject of calling people what they really are, I think "Karen" would be a fitting name. Maybe Kunty.

https://www.floridatoday.com/story/news/2022/08/08/sex-offender-restrictions-reaffirmed-brevard-county-commission/10235575002/

“I think I have spoken pretty passionately on this item,” Commission Chair Kristine Zonka said. “I just wish people would stop calling themselves registered citizens and call themselves registered sex offenders or registered predators, which is really what they are. They are so proud to be here and demand rights.”

Mark Glaeser of Gainesville FL wants to prevent Registered Persons from voting

For a guy who doesbn't want his face out there due to fear, Mark Glaeser was pretty easy to find. He's been getting his jollies trying to get Registered Persons arrested for a while now.

It appears to me he does have some animus towards Registered Persons.

FloriDUH had changed vioting laws but there has been a lot of confusion regarding who can vote and who cannot. Maybe the solution is to just allow everyone to vote and be done with it.

https://www.gainesville.com/story/news/2022/03/30/4-alachua-county-inmates-charged-voter-fraud-investigation/7215975001/

Mark Glaeser, who has a history of filing complaints against government officials, identified the group of voters and notified prosecutors last year. He says he has identified nearly 2,000 sex offenders in Florida who illegally registered to vote in the 2020 election, roughly 25% of whom voted.

https://www.dailycommercial.com/story/news/politics/elections/2022/03/31/voter-fraud-investigation-underway-lake-sumter-counties/7194052001/

This investigation comes after Gainesville-based database researcher Mark Glaeser cross-checked Florida voter lists against the FDLE's public Florida Sexual Offenders database. Through his research, he found that six registered sex offenders in Lake County and three in Sumter County cast ballots.

Their votes would not have changed the outcome in any race and, so far, no charges have been filed...

Glaeser first looked into Alachua County, then expanded his search across the state of Florida, including in Lake and Sumter.

He said that locating the names of these ineligible voters is not a difficult process and something that the state should already be doing.

“This is what I call low hanging fruit. Easily detected, undetected by the state or the supervisors," Glaeser said. “They’ve really dropped the ball.” ...

So far Glaeser has researched 11 counties and filed complaints on 75 sex offenders. The highest percentage he's seen so far has been in Gadsden County. Of the 23,000 people who cast ballots in 2020, 23 of them were sex offenders.

"So they had 0.1% of their total voting populous was illegal votes from sex offenders and sexual predators," he said.

https://www.wesh.com/article/sex-offenders-illegal-voting-seminole/40711774

Yes, I'm very angry about it,” Glaeser said.

Glaeser is a data researcher who is not only angry about illegal voting, but he’s also afraid some felons might come after him.

He’s the one who tipped off the state last year that ten inmates in Alachua County, "ineligible felons... voted illegally in the 2020 General Election."

He claims he's found 100 sex offenders like Moye who have allegedly illegally voted, and he suspects there were more than 500 statewide.

“I don't want people who are ineligible to vote in any elections,” Glaeser said. “Whether they are non-U.S. citizens or voting from another state or are convicted sex offenders or murderers in our state or are felons who have not had their rights restored.”
