I guess when Asia Argento said #MeToo, she meant she's also an alleged abuser

If you paid hush money to a kid to try to hide your hypocrisy, raise your fist
Grab your popcorn, the MeToo Movement is imploding on itself LOL

Italian actress Asia Argento — one of the most prominent activists of the #MeToo movement against sexual harassment — recently settled a complaint filed against her by a young actor and musician who said she sexually assaulted him when he was 17, the New York Times reported.

Argento, 42, settled the notice of intent to sue filed by Jimmy Bennett, who is now 22, for $380,000 shortly after she said last October that movie mogul Harvey Weinstein raped her, the Times reported.

Argento and Bennett co-starred in a 2004 film called "The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things" in which Argento played Bennett's prostitute mother.

Bennett says in the notice that he had sex with Argento in a California hotel in 2013, two months after he turned 17. The age of consent in California is 18.

The notice says the encounter traumatized Bennett and hurt his career, the Times reported.

The newspaper said it received court documents that included a selfie of Argento and Bennett in bed. Three people familiar with the case said the documents were authentic, the Times reported.

Argento became one of the most well-known activists of the #MeToo movement after she told the New Yorker magazine that Weinstein raped her at the Cannes Film Festival in 1997 when she was 21. Argento told the magazine that she continued to have a relationship with Weinstein because she was afraid of angering him.

Weinstein, who has been accused of sexual misconduct by dozens of women, has been indicted on sex crime charges involving three women. Argento is not one of the three.

Representatives for Argento could not be immediately reached by The Associated Press for comment.

Through a representative, Bennett declined to comment to the Times.

Argento recently faced online persecution after her boyfriend, Anthony Bourdain, took his own life. Online trolls began harassing her, saying that she caused his death. Numerous sexual assault and harassment survivors penned on op-ed in the Los Angeles Times supporting her.

In addition to the 2004 movie with Argento, Bennett appeared in other films, including "Daddy Day Care," and recently had a role on the TV series "Bosch." He is now working on a music career.

Once Fallen we have an Update CNN is Pulling 2 Episodes of Anthony Bourdain due to the Argento Scandal

    From NY Post:

CNN is pulling all episodes of “Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown” featuring Asia Argento, following allegations that the Italian actress and activist sexually assaulted an underage former co-star.

The outspoken #MeToo activist, who was dating Bourdain at the time of his suicide earlier this year, appeared in two episodes of the show filmed in Rome and Southern Italy and directed another episode in Hong Kong. All three have been removed from CNN’s streaming service CNN Go, the network announced.

“In light of the recent news reports about Asia Argento, CNN will discontinue airing past episodes of ‘Parts Unknown’ that included her, until further notice,” a CNN spokesperson told Buzzfeed News on Saturday.

Argento, 42, has also been dropped as a judge from the upcoming 12th season of the “X Factor Italy.”

Last month, the New York Times reported that Argento paid former child actor Jimmy Bennett $380,000 in hush money after he accused her of sexually assaulting him when he was 17 and she was 37.

Argento staunchly denied “any sexual relationship” with Bennett, but acknowledged the payment – claiming her former beau Bourdain “personally undertook to help Bennett economically” fearing the bad press.

But text messages leaked to the press allegedly show Argento admitting to having sex with Bennett when he was underage, alongside a photo that appears to show the pair shirtless in bed together.

Bourdain met Argento in 2016 while filming the season eight Rome episode of his travel and food show. In the season 11 Hong Kong episode, Bourdain mentioned their romance saying: “To fall in love with Asia is one thing. To fall in love in Asia in another. Both have happened to me.”

    Here is another Update

Asia Argento is expected to be dropped from the upcoming 12th cycle of The X Factor Italy, but is likely to appear in episodes that have already been taped. Local media reported over the weekend that the current scenario would see the Italian actress and filmmaker take part in the first seven pre-recorded shows, later being replaced for the live installments by an as-yet unnamed judge.

Producers have yet to make an official statement, although a source close to X Factor Italy confirms the accuracy of a report in Italian daily Il Messaggero. The first episodes in which Argento participated were to select the season’s 12 competitors, and broadcasting what’s already been taped is said to be out of respect for the 40K people that attended the casting and the contestants who were ultimately chosen. The series returns to Sky Uno on September 6 with the live shows beginning October 25.

The moves follow calls for Argento’s ouster after a New York Times story published last Sunday alleged she sexually assaulted a 17-year-old male in 2013 and arranged a deal to pay him $380,000 over the incident.

In the wake of the NYT story, Argento, who has been a public face of the #MeToo campaign and an accuser of Harvey Weinstein, denied that she engaged in a sexual relationship with the then-underaged Jimmy Bennett. She did, however, confirm that her late boyfriend, chef/author/TV host Anthony Bourdain, paid Bennett as much as $380,000 to stop harassing her as part of a shakedown. Later, a selfie photo of Argento and Bennett together in bed was released while what appears to be a series of texts between Argento and a friend detailing the interaction with Bennett also leaked out.

Apparently the Anthony Bourdain Death Conspiracy/ Asia Argento scandal gets crazier

Asia Argento has responded to actor Jimmy Bennett’s sexual assault claims in a lengthy statement through a new attorney, who adds Argento’s stopping payments to Bennett as arranged by her ex Anthony Bourdain.

Lawyer Mark Jay Heller denies reports Argento had a sexual relationship with Bennett, claiming, “Her relationship with Bennett was never sexual, but rather the relationship was a long distance friendship over many years.”

The statement acknowledges Argento’s late ex, Bourdain, entered a $380,000 agreement with Bennett to protect Argento. But, “Now that Mr. Bourdain has passed away and is not able to comment on his desire to avoid potential scandal … Asia will not permit any portion of the balance of the $380,000 payment to be paid to Bennett who has already received $250,000 from Anthony Bourdain.”

The statement says: “Asia’s courage to originally make the accusations against Harvey Weinstein has not waned … Phase Two of the #metoo movement dictates that the voice of a victim, even one with a history that may be in question, should be heard and she is hopeful that in the Court of Public Opinion it will ultimately be determined that Asia never initiated an inappropriate sexual contact with a minor, but rather she was attacked by Bennett and might even be suffering the fallback of a smear campaign by those already accused who may have a vested interest in their accusers being denied credibility.”
