Paint-huffing, brain fried douchebag Patrick Drum thinks this country is "based on vigilantism"

A cactus sits next to a far bigger PRICK named Patrick Drum
I think this sick vigilante killer would love the Everyday Zeroes Award for dumbest vigi scum of the year, but he doesn't deserve that. Instead, he should get a Shiitake for being the biggest dumb-shit-talker of the year. If there was ever a need to muzzle a dog, this would be the time.

“This country is based on vigilantism,” said Drum, dressed in black-and-white jail garb that identifies him as an inmate who is segregated from the general population because of his behavior.

Linda Walker, dumb quote talker

Linda Walker, dumb quote talker
Linda Walker is learning the fine art of propaganda from Money Mackin' Mark Lunsford's and Ed Not-So-Smart's "Surviving Parents Coalition." That means when she makes comments, they arc bound to be stupid.

http://www.cnn.com/2012/05/12/living/mothers-sex-offenders/index.html

Linda Walker is the mother of Dru Sjodin, who was killed in 2003 by a sex offender and for whom the Department of Justice's National Sex Offender Public Website is named. Too often, sex offenders are portrayed sympathetically while the victims are forgotten, she said. "What are we telling the victims that are still out there and alive when we keep giving [sex offenders] second and third chances?" Walker wondered. She said she sympathized with some mothers, but not when they refuse to acknowledge what their child has done. "As long as a parent feels horrible about the actions of their child, yes, I'm sympathetic toward them," Walker said. "But not toward the ones that continuously keep their heads in the sand."

I'm just wondering where all this alleged sympathy for sex offenders resides because I've seen none. Speaking of mothers with their heads in the sand, this woman has her own head in the sand. With a face that that, I hope it stays there.

Richard Ferrucci, noodle-headed cop not using his noodle

This is Richard Ferrucci (isn't that a kind of pasta?), the "Senior Investigator" at the Oneida Co NY District Attorney's Office. New York has certainly been underrepresented here at the Shiitake Awards, but Ferrucci must be trying to change that. In an article on the impact of the sex offender registry on the family of a registrant, Richard Ferrucci spoon-feeds the reporters the same stupid spiel we've come to expect from a keystone cop:

"The public has the right to know these people were dangerous, probably still are dangerous, or can be dangerous in the future to young children. Children don't really have a means to protect themselves. By having a means to access information that is out there about crimes these people commit is paramount to keep their children safe."

Ferrucci apparently doesn't understand the intent of the article. If we are merely looking at potential threats, and 95% of sex crimes are committed by first time offenders, that means we should watch people like Ferrucci. He does look like a suspicious character. Not everyone on the list was/is a danger to kids, either.

Ferrucci? More like Bucatini-- thick and hollow-headed.

What do you do when you need a numbnut to make irrelevant comments to a serious news report?
You go to the DA's office, that's what.

A Shiitake first: Four worst quotes candidates... in a single article!

I have not seen such a short article contain so many terribly bad quotes. I don't know the reporter picked these clowns on purpose. I will highlight the offending comments below:

Pursuit of Ohio sex offenders falls short

Most counties aren’t using available funds to get those who fled Ohio.

I don't know why Google posted this sideways, but maybe it's because Lenhart's brain apparently thinks sideways.
Shelby County Sheriff John Lenhart said authorities across the nation too often take the attitude that once offenders cross state lines they are someone else’s problem.
When these people are out of compliance they are hunting your kids and your grandkids to sexually assault them,” Lenhart said.
[Comment: Of course this is a complete fabrication-- a study conducted by Jill Levenson confirmed failure to register does not equate to higher recidivism.]

They do not want us to find them and that is part of the problem why they move around so much,” said Det. Cori Steiner of the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.
[Comment: Actually, it has more to do with being targeted by people simply because of being listed on the registry. The registry should be abolished]

Lee said if authorities do not return those offenders who violate registration laws, it will only mean more problems. “They play huge games with the system,” said Bill Taylor, senior inspector for the U.S. Marshals Service. “They know how many days to live in a certain spot before they have to tell Ohio that they’ve moved.”
[Comment: I don't see being forced to move constantly is "playing games." I would consider knowing the registration rules a prerequisite to living by them, don't you think?]

Tiffany Kemp, program director for Shelby County Victim Services, said when sex offenders feel they have escaped the eye of local law enforcement, they begin searching for victims. They could spend as much as three to five years gaining the trust of a neighboring family.

[Comment: See the Failure to Register Study above. ]

It must be one monumental feat to squeeze so many fallacies into one little spot.
