A couple of points here:
1. She is still using the misinterpreted stat "one in five children are sexually solicited online." This stat came from Youth Internet Safety Survey (YISS); in that survey, 19% received a broad term "sexual solicitation," which included anything from sexual spam to someone asking if a person “got lucky” on a date; Only one in 33 experienced an "aggressive sexual solicitation," or a request to contact offline; 24% came from adults, 48% came from other juveniles, and 24% from unknown people; thus, no one can assume all solicitations came from "online predators." But that doesn't stiop FloriDUH's Resident Evil from lying through her slimy teeth.
2. She calls herself a "best-selling author." Of course, I know lots of self-published authors online who make the same claims. In reality, Bimbo Book gives away far more books than she sells, so she's her own biggest customer. (You can see she spends tens of thousands on buying her own books on Lauren's Kids Form 990s.) And those books she gives away isn't truly free, but paid for with taxpayer dollars.
This woman's arrogance knows no bounds.

Online learning also means practicing digital safety | State Sen. Lauren Book
By LAUREN BOOK
SPECIAL TO THE SUN SENTINEL |
MAR 31, 2020 | 8:00 AM
In a time when schools are closed, social distancing is required, and online presence has skyrocketed, digital safety is of the utmost importance.
The FBI recently announced that during this time of school closures, threats to children are at an all-time high. Children and teens are turning to digital devices for entertainment and education – without taking proper digital safety precautions, your child could be at risk.
A shocking 1 in 5 children who touch a digital device will be sexually solicited online. Digital devices open the door for millions of people to insert themselves into your child’s life. Those who seek to abuse and exploit children online frequent the very same apps, games and social media sites as their intended victims – first gaining access and trust, then exploiting it.
Our job as parents and caregivers is to protect the children in our lives, and when it comes to digital safety, it is critical for parents to be educated about common dangers and ways to reduce risk. And with April designated National Sexual Assault Awareness Month and National Child Abuse Prevention Month, the topic is timely...
To combat this epidemic of exploitation, families need access to information and resources to help keep technology secure and promote digital safety for children and teens. The Lauren’s Kids foundation – a nonprofit organization I founded in 2007 to protect children from sexual abuse – is making resources available to families at no cost during the COVID-19 pandemic. Lauren Book is a Florida State Senator, founder and CEO of Lauren’s Kids, former classroom teacher, best-selling author, and child safety expert. She is also a concerned mother of twins who is, like many Americans, trying to manage working, parenting, schooling, and worrying from home during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Floridiot State Senator Lauren "The Bimbo" Book creates a false flag story for cheap publicity
![]() |
The Florida Politics blog is deeply in bed with FloriDUH Senator Lauren Book. They are the only media outlet to publish this obvious attempt to claim victimhood by the premier professional victim of South Florida.
Bimbo Book claims the FBI showed up at her door and that she was a potential target. By now, these bombs have all been found. Obviously, if this idiot had been a target of the #MAGAbomber, then how is it no bomb ever showed up? After all, the bombs were sent from her own town. Cesar Sayoc was arrested in Plantation. Lauren Book's claims are nothing more than an attempt to attract sympathy, something this professional victim does for a living. This claim is a false flag.
Be greateful, my fellow Floridians-- you dodged a worse bomb in having this Democrat version of Sarah Palin miss out on being Andrew Gillim's running mate. We can all breathe a sign of relief knowing that the state could've been controlled by this complete fucktard.
It must really irk her knowing that most people outside of those in the Florida Legislature, her dad, his cronies, her cronies, and the Florida Politics blog couldn't give two shits about her. She simply wants to feel important, and her cronies at the Florida Politics blog are quick to play the enabler role.
Lauren Book among potential targets for accused mail bomber
JACOB OGLES
A man accused of sending pipe bombs to liberal leaders across the country also scoured the internet for information on Democratic state Sen. Lauren Book of South Florida.
FBI agents came to Book’s home to inform her of concerns that a pipe bomb may yet be sent to her, the Plantation Democrat said.
“When I went into this, I knew politics could be messy,” Book said, “but not somebody sending you a pipe bomb filled with glass to blow you and your kids up.”
Book wasn’t home when agents arrived. She was at the airport about to fly to Tallahassee for a United Way Women’s Leadership Breakfast to hear CNN host and author Lisa Ling speak.
But husband Blair Byrnes and her two infants were at home. As she sat at an airport ready to board a plane, Book listened to FBI agents brief her from her living room while her children napped upstairs.
The agents told Book that Cesar Sayoc, the man investigators believe sent explosive materials to more than a dozen left-leaning public figures in American politics, had also done research on Book’s record of public service.
FBI Director Christopher Wray announced Oct. 26 that agents arrested Sayoc in connection to pipe bombs sent to billionaire George Soros, former President Barack Obama and individuals at CNN, among others.
But authorities told NBC News that Sayoc kept a list of more than 100 possible targets, and potential victims would be notified individually.
Authorities arrested Sayoc in Plantation, in the heart of Book’s own district, though they now say he lived in Aventura. His mother Madeline Giardello is president of an area condo association.
In searching Sayoc’s personal computer, the FBI told Book, investigators found significant research into Book’s career, including votes on various pieces of legislation in Tallahassee.
“It’s hard to believe because I had only been there two years,” Book says.
Indeed, when news of a threat to political figures first broke days earlier, police set up in Book’s office, but her husband joked no one targeting major political figures and national news personalities would care about a state senator.
He was wrong.
At the time, it did raise concerns for Book when one of the bomber’s packages was returned to the Sunrise office of U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
Book previously used that same space for a temporary district office, which filled her thoughts as she watched news footage of authorities sweeping the office.
But while that seemed eerie, news Book actually could be the target of a local terrorist proved shocking.
FBI officials told Book she needed to take alternate routes when she drove to work, and call authorities in the event any unfamiliar packages showed up on her doorstep, even though the suspect was already in custody.
To date, it’s only been anticipated packages from Amazon and other retailers that showed up on Book’s doorstep, she jokes, but as she tries to keep the topic light, she says it’s only because of the terrifying truth of the threat to her life.
But when Book got involved fighting sex trafficking, she knew which groups would be angry and upset, she says. She could anticipate trouble from a known realm of unsavory and identified individuals.
In this case, she seems to have been targeted by a right-wing lunatic for no other reason than being a Democrat.
“This won’t stop you from doing your work,” she says, “but it does make me more aware, and it makes me want to be more protective of myself and my kids.”

FloriDUH professional victim Lauren Book supports the Scarlet Letter

I am getting sick of Ron and Lauren Book. It is becoming more and more obvious that they are abusing the law in their quest for revenge.
Frederich Nietzsche warned us, "Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you." Lauren Book has decided to become a monster, destroying thousands of lives in her misguided crusade. Lauren Book is becoming definitive proof for the need for the removal of victim rights groups in politics and lawmaking. She is a monster and needs to be civilly committed. Maybe we should put a scarlet letter on her driver's license as well.

“This designation is a tool that we as community members – from law enforcement officers to TSA agents to teachers, daycare workers, doctors, nurses and everyone in between – can use to further protect the children and families of Florida,” says Book. “I believe a statutory reference is too benign. This is a scarlet letter that clearly states ‘WARNING! Keep this individual away from children!’ They are a clear and imminent danger, and parents and families have a right to know.”

Daytona Beach park to keep neighborhood safe from sex predators
By Saul Saenz, Volusia County Reporter
Last Updated: Wednesday, April 09, 2014, 2:17 PM
DAYTONA BEACH --
A nationally recognized child abuse survivor — and abuse prevention advocate — is hailing a Volusia County children's park as a great tool to keep child sex predators away from neighborhoods.
Lauren Book is walking from Key West to Tallahassee as part of her fifth-annual Walk In My Shoes campaign aimed at raising awareness about prevention and pushing for change in Florida law to protect children from abuse.
Her bus stopped at the Bayberry Lakes neighborhood park, located in Daytona Beach.
The park, which is the first of its kind, legally keeps sex offenders from moving into the community.
According to Daytona Beach ordinances, sex offenders can't live within 2,500 feet of a school, park or church.
The neighborhood is sandwiched between a community center and an elementary school, but there was no park in between until recently.
Neighbors chipped in to have the park built specifically to keep sex offenders out.
Brook, a sex abuse survivor, said more communities should do the same.
"I can't tell you how many times I ask parents, 'Do you know who's living next door?' and they're afraid to look," Brook said. “"So, it's being educated within the law: know who's around you and use examples like (Bayberry Lakes), where you build a park to keep a vulnerable section of your community safer."
Daytona Beach Police Chief Mike Chitwood added: "Have you had more families come to you? Or, have you had people come to you and say, 'Look, we want to do exactly what’s being done here.'" We haven't. Bet you after today, though, when members of our community see this, they'll say: "Hey, that's a great idea."
The idea was the brainchild of Ryan Will, an assistant state attorney, who researched state and city ordinances and raised the money to have the park built.
Will said families don't have to build entire parks to meet state and local law requirements to keep sex offenders from moving into communities.

Ron Book Jr. (Lauren Book) is pimping Cherish's Law
First off, lets NEVER forget that Laren Book-Lim, aka Ron Book Jr., was just as much responsible for the Julia Tuttle Causeway debacle as her crooked lobbyist/ convicted criminal father Ron Book. A picture is worth a thousand words (just not worth what Getty is charging).
So now Lauren Book is getting in on the Cherish's Law. What's a Cherish's Law? No one knows! It is just a petition started by a bunch of paranoid soccer moms
So now, Lauren Book is spewing the same tired DEBUNKED MYTHS, like the claim of 117 victims on average myth. The irony is the laws Book supported increases crime. In other words, she MAKES "time bombs."
[Source: Jones, Brittany. "Petition gains support for 'Cherish Law.'" WTXL-ABC-27. Web. 3 Sept. 2013. <https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/747/08/>]

"That's really what we're seeing with these petitions, everybody being passionate and standing up around the issue and working together to protect our children," said Lauren Book.
Lauren Book, the founder of Lauren's Kids for victims of childhood abuse supports tougher laws to keep those who commit those crimes behind bars longer.
"These monsters can be put away for the rest of their lives, they murder children's childhood, my childhood was taken from me," said Book.
"In so many instances these individuals should never ever be allowed out for a second chance, they're ticking time bombs, its not a questions if they a re-offend, it's a question of when they re-offend," said Book.
